BC's mountain pine beetle salvage programs over the past two decades have changed stand composition and created some unusual timber conditions in the northern interior. Beetle-killed stands mix standing dead with green timber and present specific falling hazards that require experienced certified fallers. Our crews understand those conditions and work safely within them, following the WorkSafeBC and Forest Safety Council standards that govern BC falling work.
